Greetings friends, family, alumni and
potential new members. I am the newly elected president of the
Delta Gamma chapter of the Delta Tau Delta fraternity and I would
like to thank you for visiting our website. Delta Tau Delta is
more than a social organization, more than a place to live or a
way to meet people. Our mission, “Committed to Lives of
Excellence,” is what we as a Fraternity are all about. Our
fraternity fulfills many purposes by developing its members’
leadership skills, supporting academic success, volunteering in
our communities, developing value based relationships and helping
our members launch successful careers.
I can honestly say that I could not be more
proud to preside over such an amazing organization and I look
forward to advancing our continuing success well into the future.
Our chapter has gone through some remarkable changes in the 3
years since I have been a member of this fraternity. Since the
summer of 2006, we have put in new carpet throughout the entire
house, painted the 2nd and 3rd floor
hallways, installed a new boiler, installed new windows throughout
the house, and completely re-landscaped outside the shelter.
Complimentary to our structural change, Delta
Tau Delta is excelling in a number of other areas. We achieved
the second highest GPA last semester of all 9 fraternities and
were well above the all male GPA. A number of our members have
taken leadership positions in various student organizations
including: Student Government, Finance Clubs, Pre-Med Society,
Health Executives Advancing in Learning, Athletics, Honor’s
Association, IFC, etc. Multiple brothers are involved in such
athletics as soccer, hockey, baseball, etc. and the Delts continue
to compete at a high level in a number of intramurals. In the
midst of our campus involvement, we understand that strengthening
community is essential to our vitality and we accomplish this
through various philanthropic events including the Delta Tau Delta
Teddy Bear Run, Date-a-Delt, Rake-a-thon, etc. As Delts we
understand that our mission “Committed to Lives of Excellence”
is a declaration of our future and the place where we want to
stand in all of life’s challenges and experiences.
